I just wanted to share a few pictures from our Easter weekend!

My parents were camping so I took a day off to visit them! Feta even got to come along and my cousins wore her out!!

Then we colored Easter eggs!

This year we spent Easter with the Hopkins family. I went a little crazy with decorating the table!!!

August 23, 2010 – The Williams twins arrive……

Ah they are so little and I love them SO much.  They finally got to come home on August 31st and I just had to be there to decorate and welcome them home!!

On Tuesday I took their new born photos and I will be posting them soon……..until then….here is a little teaser!

Today I compare my photography to a religion and some days I doubt it and find myself asking why am I doing this?  Why do I shoot weddings? What makes me a good photographer? Plus a million more where those come from.  Don’t get me wrong I LOVE what I do, but come on I know everyone has these questions and doubts.  Today I leave for an amazing and life changing workshop called life (as an artform).

I am ready to awaken my inner artist.

To re-find myself as a photographer and a person.

I have been looking forward to this week since January and it is finally here!!

I hope to have all of my questions answered and come back home refreshed and ready to ROCK the rest of my wedding season.

I can not do a blog post with out some stellar photographs to show! So I give you Annette and Bryan married June 4th…..this picture captures pure happiness.

and also Roxy and Alex married June 5th…..this picture to me captures pure contentment.  I love it.

The “Dear Baby” Series

$600 and includes:

-One weekly session from your 20^th week until birth

Sessions usually take less than 30 minutes and consist of whatever is happening that week of your life.

For example my sister in law Renee’ and my brother Adam were registering for baby gifts for the first time.  So I met them at Target and we did a little photo shoot in the store. Next week it will be a picture of them packing the car, for a pre baby’s romantic trip. They are expecting twins in September so you can imagine registering for two was quite the ordeal – yet so much fun!

“Hi Thing 1 & Thing 2,

We have made it to the halfway point! It’s hard to believe that in as little as 16-20 weeks you will both be joining us and making us a family of 4 instead of just 2. I just completed my second semester in graduate school, where I spent 16 weeks busy with homework and papers while finding time to rest so you both can grow. Now that school is done for a while, Daddy and I are going to spend our extra time getting ready for you both.
This week has been very busy. I had an ultrasound and was able to see how you both are developing. They estimated that you each weigh about 11oz and are about as long as a banana. I got to celebrate my first unofficial Mother’s Day and received beautiful twin baby figurines from your grandmother (my mom) and was also given a daisy plant at church for being the “newest” mommy carrying twins! Daddy and I spent two days completing our baby registries at Babies R Us and Target. We were both exhausted after the shopping trips! It’s hard to believe that two little ones, so small, could need so much stuff.

This idea was not original…I wish. But this is my take on another photographer/blogger creation, check out the series he did of his wife, The Panic Room.

They are not finding out the sex of the babies, so they had to register gender neutral. But let me tell you if they have a boy (or two) I am buying that “Hello my name is mr. adorable” onesie! Can you say CUTE!

They look so serious but they did have fun!!

These days I just can not complain!  Life is good, business is wonderful and I am truly happy.

Last night I called my good friend Andrea (Dreea or B) to see if she was off tomorrow. So we could grab some lunch at Cafe Muse in Downtown Royal Oak and she was! Wahoo!

Well, as it turned out Adam, was off today also because it was Good Friday.  It couldn’t be more perfect!  When Andrea and her boyfriend Mario came over, she had – in her words, my “well overdue” Christmas gift in hand. Oh, I was so excited! She has been going on and on about my gift for months now!  Upon opening the bag, I found all kinds of AMAZINGNESS!

Oh MY! Does she know me or what!!!! I love everything owls! On the right it is a cute phone charm made of Swarovski Crystals and on the left is a change purse! Living in Royal Oak I find I have to keep change on me at all times when driving! Parking Meters!! Oh I love it!!!!  I have a little obsession with Vera Bradly and Andrea said it reminded her of me! :]

This is by far the best gift I have gotten in a long time.  (no offense to anyone who has gotten me anything!) She said she thought of me, the moment she saw it.  So much thought went into this…..ah I love it and her!!!

After lunch we parted ways, Adam and I walked home.  On our walk we talked about how nice of a day it was and what we were going to do with the rest of it……

It got me thinking of all those little moments in life, that just pass right by.  Since Adam was off on a weekday, I grabbed him for a quick picture, because those little moments are usually with him!

This is what happens when I get my camera in front of him……so silly and of course Samson was jealous so he had to jump in!!

In case you were wondering, that is Mr. Flamingo in the bottom right picture.  He has an outfit for every occasion/holiday. Can you tell he is all ready for EASTER? We received him as a Christmas present from Adam’s mother, a couple years ago. I LOVE HIM!

Today like I said was like any other Sunday.  Adam and I lounged around in the morning, and then gave Samson a bath.  We cleaned and reorganized our room.  We cooked a yummy mushroom onion pot roast and watched a movie.  The perfect day – the best part was that we were together.
So here is to being with the one you love every day.

Don’t get Samson wrong.  He really does like getting a bath!! Hee Hee

Between us, the best part about having a second shooter work with me is the fun pictures they secretly take of me! Hee Hee!
I work with a lot of great photographers & I love that they always send me the snap shots of me working.  As my collection grows I wanted to share some of them with you!
Plus they make me LAUGH!
